Vertigo at Gearhead Garage!




Vertigo is one of Gearhead's (Sacramento, CA) latest restoration projects. Arriving just 3 months ago, this hearty 1968 Pro Touring Camaro is nearing completion as a kick ass Street Fighter.

**Stripped down versions of Pro Touring cars, Street Fighters are all business, typically lacking the creature comforts commonly found in Pro Touring cars.

Extremely rare Pontiac GTO Judge Convertible.
1 of only 108 produced. Pontiac Historical Society documents state that it is the ONLY "Judge" convertible known still in existence with this highly desirable color combo: Starlite black exterior, White convertible top, White/parchment interior. RESTORATION WORK PERFORMED INCLUDES:
-Complete disassembly of the entire vehicle. Entire body & frame thoroughly sandblasted & etch primed. Frame was powdercoated, and ALL bodywork, blocking & priming was performed. 2-stage black paint sprayed inside & out, clear was applied to the exterior, then wet-sanded, buffed & polished. All new Judge decals, Ram Air decals & GTO side stencils were then applied.

-Original engine, transmission & posi rearend have been completely overhauled. New exhaust system, cooling system, all new incidentals such as plug wires, spark plugs, points, hoses, etc have been replaced with original OE type equipment. New heavy duty clutch, ALL new bushings & suspension components.

-The dash was restored by Just Dashes- including overhauling ALL of the instruments. Everything works perfectly. ALL seats were stripped to bare metal, painted, refoamed & rewrapped to perfection. Convertible top was also sandblasted & painted, power top components replaced, new convertible top pads, top, rear window curtain & well liner were installed. Factory floor insulation was redone, all door panels replaced, new carpet, wiring harnesses, heater controls, kickpanels, speaker were also installed.

-All stainless steel trim pieces have been straightened & polished, ALL chrome pieces have been rechromed, and all emblems are restored or replaced. All new weatherstripping, felts, windows & glass have also been replaced or restored.

This is just a brief overview. EVERY nut & bolt on this car has been touched- the restoration was very thorough, and was professionally performed. This car will NOT disappoint.
